Sweet 16 Madness

Your Road to Entrepreneurship

Today is Friday the 13th and it’s also my daughter’s 16th birthday.

Ok, so Friday the 13th is gone and it’s no longer my daughter’s birthday.

That doesn’t mean that the sale has to end.

You see, we’re flying her to the largest mall in North America to hang out with her best friend

whose 16th birthday was the day before my daughters.

I want to buy her something nice so I’m having a sale to make some quick cash.

I know she’s going to spend a lot of money (All hers, she earned it)

I want to help her make it extra special for her and plane tickets ain’t cheap. (Neither are teenagers)

You know how I preach against price drops and big sales, I still feel that way.

But some things are more important than philosophies, like my kids.

I remember being homeless at 16. Living with bootleggers and drug dealers.

I made a lot of mistakes. Too many.

My job as a parent is to be a good example, do what it takes to give my kids

the better things in life that I missed out on.

Good enough reason for a sale? I think so.

So i’m leaving the sale up until next Monday when she comes home.

This will be a $197 product when it’s finished but you can get access to the audios for only $3 right now.

So what’s inside this program? Let’s have a peek.

Too many of us get stuck looking for the next step.

We’re tired of colouring inside the lines, thinking inside the box.

We need to challenge the status quo, make a difference in the world, put a dent in the universe.

We long to leave a lasting legacy.

But we don’t know where to start?

We feel stuck. We spend all our time searching.

We get stuck in the analysis paralysis stage.

We’re just looking for that one more piece of information.

We’re waiting for that one great piece of advice.

We’re waiting because it’s easier than proceeding.

We’re waiting because we’re afraid we won’t know what to do next.

I was there.

In fact, I waited over a year to proceed with this program because I was afraid.

I was waiting for the answers.

You know what I found?

The answers won’t come. You have to go get them.

I realized that the vast majority of us stumble on the first step.

We stop ourselves before we even get started because we don’t know where to begin.

So I went back and interviewed 15 entrepreneurs about their beginnings.

I got to the raw basics of starting an entrepreneurial journey.

TestimonialJD2 Sweet 16 Madness

I decided to seek out the finest counsel I could find.

  • I interviewed Carol Roth. Author of the New York Times Best-selling book The Entrepreneur Equation.
  • I talked to John Morgan. He has consulted for brands like Disney and Starbucks.
  • I got to know Brad Gosse. SEO guru who has topped Google for some of the hardest keywords.
  • My friend Justin Popovic, who wrote the Quit Your Job manual.
  • Erica Ehm, founder of the Yummy Mummy club and former Muchmusic VJ.

As well as 10 others.

Phil Gerbyshak, Kat Gordon, Andrew Angus, Anastasia Valentine, Kate Buck Jr., Lindsay Brewda, Sarah Cook, Zoe Siskos, Christopher Bartlett, Chris Farias, and had Jason Dykstra interview me.

Listen to the first interview here.

What I identified was that there are a few common threads that run throughout these interviews.

These are the essential ingredients in being a successful entrepreneur.

But hearing stories is not enough.

You need a guide, a template.

So I included several forms, worksheets, programs, and templates to get you started.

I also added in some of my business philosophies that i’ve picked up.

They’ve helped me stay on the right path.

This doesn’t even take into consideration the value of my interviewees’ time.

The worksheets will help you determine your core values, mission statement, local marketing, getting your business online, etc.

These are all vital pieces of the entrepreneur puzzle.

This is the exact information I wish I had when I started out.
